Handover, one of the 24 apps

A shift handover app where both people confirm.

Most things go wrong at the change of a shift: a problem the morning team knew about, a job half done, the keys, the cash. In Task Bundals the handover note fills itself with what is still open at the branch. One person hands over, the next one takes over, and both times are recorded.

One handover

Open work comes in by itself.

When a manager starts a handover, the open problems, the unfinished tasks and today’s failed checklist lines of that branch are pulled in. The person leaving only adds what is in their head.

Handover

One handover, from the Opening shift to the Closing shift. The top lines were pulled in by themselves.

Problems

Open problems at the branch are the first thing pulled into a handover, so the next shift starts knowing them.

How it runs

Four steps, two links.

Neither person needs to log in. Each gets a link to one page.

Start. A manager presses “Start a handover” and fills four boxes: from, to, given by and taken by.
Add. The person leaving opens their link, reads what was pulled in and adds lines: a Note, Cash with an amount, or “Keys and items”.
Hand over. They tap “I am handing over”. The time is recorded.
Take over. The next person opens their own link, reads every line and taps “I have taken over”. That time is recorded too.
When nobody takes it

The manager is told, not left guessing.

You set a number of minutes. If a handover has been given and not taken in that time, the branch manager gets a note in the portal with a message ready for the person who should take over.

A record afterwards. “Past handovers” lists each one with who gave it, who took it, the number of lines and how long it waited.
Works with shifts. The from and to boxes take a shift name such as Opening and Closing, or two people’s names.
Works with checklists. A closing checklist line that failed today is carried into the note.
Plainly

What it does, and what it does not.

It is a written note with two names and two times on it. It is not a roster and not a cash book.

What it does
Pulls in the open work of the branch when the handover is started: problems, unfinished tasks, failed checklist lines.
Lets the person leaving add notes, a cash count and keys or items.
Records two confirmations, each from its own link, with the time of each.
Tells the manager, with a note in the portal, when a handover is not taken in the minutes you set.
What it does not do
It does not plan shifts. That is the Roster app.
It moves no money. A cash line is a record of what was counted, not an account.
It does not take a location. The handover page says so.
It does not send the links by itself. A manager shares each one.

Three kinds of line: a Note, Cash with an amount in rupees, and Keys and items.
No. Each of the two people gets their own link. One taps “I am handing over”, the other taps “I have taken over”, and both times are recorded.
No. A cash line is a record of what was counted. It pays nobody and is not an account.
